Sukrita B. Matta, DDS, MPH
Blending Science, Art & Heart Into Every Smile
Dr. Matta believes dentistry is more than just teeth—it's about people, stories, and transformation. Her journey into dentistry was guided by a deep appreciation for the balance between science and creativity. "Dentistry allows me to be an artist, a teacher, and a healer all in one," she says, a philosophy that shines through in every patient interaction.
A Passion Born from Purpose
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Matta began her career in healthcare as a dental hygienist, where she developed a strong foundation in preventive care and a belief that “prevention is always better than cure.” Her desire to serve patients with compassion and integrity led her to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University at Buffalo in New York, followed by a General Practice Residency at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. She also holds a Master’s in Public Health from NYU, underscoring her commitment to the connection between oral health and overall well-being.

She also mentors the next generation of dental hygienists and supports causes like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and UNICEF.
